Mr. Hidaka started his career with Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in 1985 in the Quality Control Division at Toyota’s Tsutsumi plant.
From 1986 to 2006, Mr. Hidaka’s assignments continued in Quality Control including start-up of TMMK as a Trainer in 1988. In 1992, he was assigned to TMMK’s Quality Control Division before moving back to the Tsutsumi plant in 1996. Mr. Hidaka returned to TMMK for another five-year assignment in 2001 before returning to Japan in 2006. His other assignments at TMC’s Tsutsumi plant include Body Weld and Assembly.
Noboru Hidaka returned to Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) as Executive Advisor of Manufacturing in January 2012. This marks his third career assignment at Toyota’s Kentucky plant, the largest in North America. He was also TMMK’s Senior Advisor of Assembly operations. In 2014, he was Lexus Project Executive Advisor and currently in 2015 is Corporate Advisor.
Mr. Hidaka and his wife (Chizuru) reside in Lexington, Kentucky and they have two children that are in college in Japan.
