GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY, (March 1, 2013) — Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) was recently honored with the 2013 Productivity Achievement Award in Manufacturing, presented annually by Modern Materials Handling Magazine. The honor highlights TMMK's operational improvements through the use of materials handling systems, including automated guided vehicles that carry parts to production lines throughout the 7.5-million-square-foot plant in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Finalists in the category were reviewed by a panel of expert judges from the materials handling industry. This is the first time TMMK has been selected for the award.
