GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY, (MAY 5, 2004) — Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK), announced plans for the 2004 In the Interest of Women: A Forum for the Women of Kentucky. The annual conference will be held in Lexington at the Lexington Center on October 19 and in Louisville at the Galt House East on October 20.
In the Interest of Women is a day-long conference sponsored by TMMK. The conference is designed especially for women and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and two keynote addresses. Additionally, conference attendees select four workshops from a slate of twelve options they’d like to attend.
Academy Award-winning actress Sissy Spacek, whose film credits include Carrie, Coal Miner’s Daughter, Crimes of the Heart and In the Bedroom, and Jackie Kallen, the most successful female boxing manager in history and subject of the recent feature film Against the Ropes starring Meg Ryan, have been signed to give the keynote addresses for the conference. Some of this year’s workshop topics include, stress management, self-empowerment, finance and staying positive in today’s world.

The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. Registration is $75 per person.
